During the pandemic, Auntie Lilly (Tanya) didn't do too well with it. Being a people person and not seeing people for months on end took its toll. In November of 2021, an old professor called her and basically asked what she was doing. Then the professor asked what she should be doing. This was the moment that shook her to her core. She knew she should be doing something with her life. That was when she started watching YouTube videos about sewing. Her husband had bought her a sewing machine two Christmases before that and never touched. It would not be until January of 2022 before she had the will to try it. Something stuck! She could sew and sew and take her mind off of the world's problems and make something with her own 2 hands...it was life changing. Sew, here we are today.
It wasn't long until Vada picked it up, too. Her first project was a tiny draw string bag. In June of 2022, she started asking Lilly if she could sew. She did start sewing patterns by herself...and very well! She now makes all the Scrunchies and most of the drawstring book bags and bookmarks herself.
We are sew happy you are here. We sew for mental health and maybe people will like what we make. But most of all, we are loving what we do and the people that we are meeting.
Thank you sew much for supporting our small business. Everyone is welcomed and loved here. We have no idea what we are doing, but we always do it with a smile and a messy bun!
Love,
Lilly and Vada
